Robin Williams Blake
ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainer, Supervisor, Consultant, Speaker and Host
As a certified EFT trainer, my goal is to empower mental health practitioners by sharing the powerful tools, skills, and interventions that Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) offers. Join me on this journey to master EFT techniques that can make a profound difference in your practice and in the lives of your clients.
Many have shared how their practices and lives transformed after meeting Sue Johnson, and I am no exception. My journey with EFT began in 2001 when I heard Sue, creator and lead developer of EFT, speak at Leading Edge Seminars in Toronto. Her words spoke to me, and learning EFT became my primary focus. Becoming more skilled working with couples was exhilarating.
After years of learning to apply the EFT skills and interventions, I became a certified EFT therapist in 2007. Driven by a desire to help other therapists to understand and master the steps, stages of EFT, I achieved certification as an EFT supervisor three years later.
Since 2010, I have supervised in both individual and group settings helping clinicians move through their own certification process. 7 years ago, I was invited by Sue Johnson to join the EFT Trainer team and today as an EFT trainer, it is a privilege to offer core trainings in the 3 certification tracks, as well as EFT master classes and workshops.
Please have a look at the list of EFT trainings below and reach out to me if you have a question. Together, we can grow your EFT skills which in turn will grow your confidence and your clinical practice.

EFFT centralizes on stabilizing negative interaction patterns, restructuring parent-child interactions, and consolidating the felt security through new connection patterns. Following attachment science, it guides families to experience swift progress as members become more responsive and engaged, uncovering and addressing previously unrecognized attachment-related emotions and needs, thus fostering individual growth and intergenerational relationship enhancement.

This course introduces EFIT, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, the individual therapy version of the well-established EFT couple model. This attachment-based, experiential model allows the therapist to confidently restructure the client’s habitual way of constructing moment-to-moment experience and regulating their most difficult emotions. EFIT focuses on helping clients shape a coherent, resilient, secure sense of self, able to explore and resolve the deeper emotional pain underlying depression, anxiety, and the echoes of traumas. As in EFT for couples, attachment science offers the EFIT therapist a map that clarifies the nature of client problems and symptoms, specifying the steps in the journey towards emotional balance and the corrective emotional epiphanies that are the essence of significant and lasting change in psychotherapy.
